Milly Summer

Divine Collection
by Milly

.

Peggy Guggenheim would have been in the front row.
A joyful, playful collection very easy to wear.
It reminds me a little of the old Prada....

The Patiala Necklace

a modern Maharaja

Truly unique !
The amazing Patiala necklace belonged to the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala.
Designed as one of the most impressive pieces of jewelry ever made,
it has five rows of diamonds incrusted in a platinum chain.
Star among the 2,930 brilliant diamonds is the world's seventh
largest DeBeers solitare diamond.
The mystery of the necklace is never ending, it would be a good
movie script....after the end of the Raj era the necklace
vanished in 1948. Somebody claims to have found pieces of it in a
vintage shop in London around 1998.
All the major original stones were long gone.
Cartier re-made the necklace to show the splendor of Art Deco jewelry.

The necklace has been displayed all over the world, I was lucky to view it
few years back in the Cartier Boutique in Milano, rumor has it that
toke no less then 3 years to complete the job.
The large DeBeers diamond alone it is worth over 4.5 million dollars.

Turbans

ohh! I know, you are so right...
Turbans? whats new!?!

For us Europeans the charme of the turban is endless,
we really do not make any statement other then pure fashion with it.
We think of the Maharajas of India, the Pashà of the Ottoman,
the mysterious Touareg...
I want to make myself one,
so in my quest to find the perfect model I came across
these stunning pictures, I love to share them with you.
the above models are from
